Making Things or How I’m Spending My Winter Break: Part 4

I’ve decided that I’d like to try and get a booth at the 2014 La Cueva Arts and Crafts Show. I’ll need to submit images of my work; it’s a juried show. I really hope that I can get a booth.

I’ve been wanting to do some hand-coloring of some of my black and white animal illustrations for a while now. Winter Break has given me the opportunity to actually sit down and get some color onto the paper.

DSC08460DSC08465DSC08463I had just a little bit of paint left over, so each of the frames was painted a different color. I’ve still got to finish the mats and get one pieces of glass replaced, then they’ll be ready to sell!

I’d still like to put together a larger group of animal illustrations into some kind of coloring book for grown-ups, but I keep running out of time! Berin has gotten some of my illustrations (only in black and white for right now) up on Cafe Press so if you’d like to support us in our money-raising efforts that will help us get to Finland for my Masters Degree in Education at the University of Jyväskylä, we’d be very grateful!
