Barbara & Xochitl

Barbara and Xochitl have been together as long as either one of them can remember. It’s as if they each went to sleep completely separate individuals, but woke-up entangled together physically. Barbara and Xochitl have a shared mental space that they occupy as well. Each is aware of the others thoughts and emotions. At first, they were angry, and fought being forced into being so tightly bound to one another. As time wore on, they thought less of about themselves as individual entities. They weren’t each a separate “I” anymore,;they were a collective “We”. Together, they have a unique way of interpreting everything around them. Barbara and Xochitl continue to use their individual names, mostly because they cannot agree on a common name for the blending of the two. It also makes ordering in restaurants much easier for the waitstaff. Plane travel is another subject for another time.
