Poppy is still young, but has already started her own neighborhood newsletter. She and her mom put it together. Poppy does all the leg work; checking out happenings in her neighborhood, interviewing them, taking pictures, etc. She also gets information from the bulletin board from the local community center about musical performances, cookouts, hiking and all kinds of other happenings that her neighbors might be interesting in knowing about. Poppy’s mom helps her type her newsletter and she prints twenty copies, front and back. She delivers her newsletter every Monday afternoon, making sure to say hello to all her neighbors. Poppy knows that she could just send her newsletter in an email, but she really likes getting to know her neighbors and about her community. The best way she can do that, in her opinion, is face-to-face. This was how she found out that the family four doors down was looking for homes for kittens. Now she has a little kitten named Diego!
