Unikko is a dancer. She loves dancing from one flower to another, over and over again. There are times when the bees and butterflies get a little annoyed with her though. Unikko has knocked more than one bumblebee off a flower. She always apologizes and helps the bee to right itself and makes sure they’re okay and can fly. Bumblebees are so intent on their jobs that any annoyance is quickly forgotten once they’re placed in the center of a flower. There have been times when Unikko has taken in a bumblebee to nurse back to health. Consequently, she is quite fluent in their language. Unikko has gotten a reputation as a caretaker or injured bees, both bumble and honey. Sometimes she is brought injured bees to rehabilitate. She does this work cheerfully. Her bee patients are thankful for her help and she enjoys having the company. Bees have such interesting stories to tell. They’re so funny!
